iSYSTEM BlueBox Hardware
Many of iSYSTEM's unique software capabilities are only possible through the robust, precision hardware that interfaces to the target microcontroller. Instantly recognizable by their color, the BlueBox technology sitting on the desk's of development engineers around the world has been a key factor in resolving seemingly impossible execution time challenges or proving the safety of safety-critical applications.
BlueBox On-Chip Analyzers
Our premium-range of BlueBox hardware supports many different microcontrollers, microprocessor and SoC devices, along with their varied debug and trace interfaces. In order to provide even deeper insights into your application, they can also collect the status of digital and analog signals synchronous to code execution.
The iSYSTEM iC5700 BlueBox features a new, high performance, internal data bus named FNet. FNet is an iSYSTEM proprietary bus system and communication protocol. It has been developed for the purpose of analyzing complex systems by connecting and synchronizing one or several iSYSTEM debuggers and their add-on modules.

Active Probes
Beside a wide range of debug adapters for various architectures, iSYSTEM manufactures high-speed probes. Active Probe is a high-speed and very reliable connection to a BlueBox iC5700 that enables advanced analysis of complex systems. This iSYSTEM generic platform concept connects different devices in a single network and in addition to debugging, flashing and tracing of single target systems also enables synchronized debug and trace of multiple MCUs, network trace, CAN/LIN data capture, analog and digital capture and control, correlation of MCU and network events all from one central hardware tool.
FNet - Communication protocol
The last decade has seen a steady increase in multi-core and multi-processor, system-on-chip (SoC) processing platforms, with the pace of integration being especially pronounced in the automotive industry. With the iSYSTEM iC5700 / FNet platform concept and its corresponding components, iSYSTEM recognizes this trend and its importance.

IOM6 Hub
IOM6 Hub extends the iC5700 with additional three FNet ports to connect Active Probes, IOM6 ADIO and/or IOM6 CAN/CAN-FD/LIN. A so called FBridge port enables you to connect to another IOM6 Hub on a second iC5700 for synchronous debug and trace. Through the FBridge port run/stop control of two iC5700 can be synchronized. Connecting Active Probes to the IOM6 Hub of the iC5700 BlueBox, it is possible to synchronously control (run/stop) these two Active Probes. This is how, for instance, two applications running in parallel and on different architectures (e.g., Aurix and ARM Cortex-A architectures), can be debugged, tested, traced and profiled at the same time.
